Our roots are firmly in cinema, with decades of combined experience across cinema exhibition, projection, integration and technical support. Today, that expertise extends across professional AV, from projection and LED to media servers, displays, screens, truss and rigging.
We work with leading global technology brands, but it's the knowledge behind the technology that makes the difference. Our team supports customers from initial specification and system design through to installation, commissioning, training, servicing and ongoing technical support.
Built on cinema, growing across professional AV
CineAV was established in Johannesburg with a clear focus on bringing specialist cinema technology, service and technical support closer to customers across Africa.
That experience remains a major part of what we do today. We support cinemas, screening rooms and studios with everything from new systems and upgrades to servicing, repairs and ongoing support.
Alongside cinema, our professional AV offering has continued to grow. We now support projects across corporate AV, live events, rental and staging, immersive experiences, projection mapping, LED and other specialist visual applications.
Our people make CineAV what it is
Behind every project, installation, repair and phone call is a team with years of hands-on experience.
From cinema and projection specialists to AV engineers, technical support and customer service, we bring together different skills but share the same approach: understand what the customer needs, know the technology and be there when support is needed.
We're also big believers in sharing that knowledge, whether that's helping a customer work through a project, providing hands-on demonstrations or delivering technical training at our Johannesburg facility.
Our involvement doesn't end when the equipment arrives
We can support projects through planning, specification, installation and commissioning, then continue that relationship with training, preventative maintenance, repairs, spare parts and technical support.
Our Johannesburg facility also gives us dedicated space for demonstrations, system staging, testing, training and specialist repair work. The existing site already references dedicated testing and staging areas plus training facilities, so that's a tangible capability worth retaining in the new story.
